At Zion Lutheran School, the Iowa Tests of Basic Skills (ITBS), also known as the Iowa Tests or ITBS tests, are administered each April for students in 1st-8th grade. These are standardized tests provided as a service to schools by the College of Education of the University of Iowa.
Test results from the Spring of 2016 showed that every grade level performed at least one grade level above their actual grade at Zion Lutheran School. Summing up the review below, the “Grade Equivalent” shows Zion students continue to progress above grade level and “Percentile Rank” compares Zion to other schools taking the 2015 ITBS. Zion students continue to progress above the national standards of students taking the ITBS.
Additionally, our eighth grade scores were at a 13+ level, which is at a college level freshmen category (Chart A) for the third year in a row.
