In recognition of Black History Month, our fourth graders are working on a Biography Bottle Project. Each student chose an historical figure, researched the individual’s contributions to the civil rights movement and is putting together a diorama of that person. This week, it’s been fashion design, painting and creating patterns for the bottles.

Our Sunday School program is up and running each week. Join us for this special time – 9:15-10:15 am- in the gym at Zion Lutheran School.
Enter through the doors near the church office and walk down to the gym.
Confirmation class and Apologetics take place in the school lower level.

Zion Lutheran Church has a YouTube page which is its one-stop shop for all the worship services being live streamed each week.

Zion Lutheran Church is having in-person worship at both 8 am and 10:30 am each Sunday. Advanced registration is not required.
For those who are more comfortable worshipping from home, the services are live streamed on the church’s YouTube page.

Can we donate 100 items of food for the 100th day of school? We sure can!
Our kindergarten classes were challenged with bringing in items to donate to the local food bank – 100! – to celebrate 100 days of school. As part of their celebration on Feb. 1, the class counted out all items and the grand total was 122 items.
Way to go, Zion Lions!

Our students spent a morning in December putting together boxes for Operation Christmas Child. It was part of a whole church and school service project.
Students brought in items that were then packed and shipped to children in need all across our globe. They got to experience first hand how to pack the box and “shop” for students of different ages and genders.

On Monday, Feb. 1 we had the 100th day of school – something we are beyond excited to celebrate this year having been in-person learning since day one. Our Kindergartners sure know how to have fun on this milestone day.

Our fourth graders celebrated the 100th day of school just one day early by creating the tallest tower possible out of 100 marshmallows and spaghetti noodles. This was also part of their STEM Friday activites.
