FILL THE BUS FOOD DRIVE – Preschool – 4th Grade
We are joining Belleville Public Schools, the Greater Belleville Chamber of Commerce Members and AmeriCorps in a service project to “Drive Away Hunger”. The response to our efforts to “drive away hunger” in our community has been overwhelming in previous years. This project has delivered over 150,000 items on school buses to Belleville food pantries.
This will be our 2nd year of participation and the 12th year for the project. There are many more individuals and families struggling this year and the food pantries are in desperate need of supplies. They need our help!
We are asking you to donate what you can to make a difference in our community. The goal is to fill as many school buses as possible with boxes of food. Zion Pre-School 2’s through 4th grade will be collecting April 1st to April 15th. The buses will parade to the food pantries and the food will be given to the workers on April 17th. There will be special incentive days throughout the project. Check out the flyer attached to this letter.
This is a great opportunity to make a difference in our community. The importance of caring and service are critical in helping others in need. Prayerfully consider joining our efforts to “Drive Away Hunger” in Belleville.
SUMMER LUNCH DRIVE – 5th through 8th Grade
Zion Church Community packed and delivered sack lunches last summer to families in need in our community. There are many families in need in our community and we can help!
We are asking you to donate what you can to make a difference in our community. The goal is to collect 2000 Capri Sun drinks! We are also hoping to collect granola bars, peanut butter crackers and applesauce cups.
Zion 5th through 8th grade will be collecting April 1st to April 15th. There will be special incentive days throughout the project.
This is a great opportunity to make a difference in our community. The importance of caring and service are critical in helping others in need. Prayerfully consider joining our efforts to help the hungry in Belleville. Hosted by Student Council.
