Grab those running shoes, head for the start line, and go! On Friday, September 27th, preschool through 8th grade will participate in the Lion’s Roar Fun Run by running or walking laps to raise money for Zion Lutheran School.

Imagine a brighter future for Zion Lutheran School’s students! Your generous donation can help transform our aging classrooms and corridors into modern, comfortable learning spaces. With new lighting, flooring, heating, and cooling, our students will have the best environment to focus and thrive.

Thanks to your support at the School Auction, we were able to paint classrooms, the stairwell, and purchase the additional electrical box needed to upgrade the older classrooms. However, our school building still needs significant upgrades to ensure a safe and comfortable learning environment for our students.

The total cost of these renovations is approximately $300,000. To make this possible, we’re launching a Fun Run with a goal of $26,000. Every dollar raised will bring us closer to our goal of creating a brighter future for our school community.

We are again using the online donation platform Give Lively! This platform is amazing because it is free for nonprofits. We only have to pay a small credit card fee & are asking donors to cover it at checkout.

To set up your child’s page:

1. Click here to go to the Zion Fun Run Campaign page

2. Look for the button “I want to Fundraise” and click it.

3. Follow the steps to set up your child’s page or use your login from last year. If you have multiple children, either set up ONE family page OR use multiple email addresses. Give Lively only allows one fundraising page per email address.

4. Once your page is created, upload a photo, add a note, and share your child’s personal page to friends and family.

• Most Enthusiastic = Extra Recess
• Best Dressed/Most Creative = Donut Party

Individual Prizes:

To be eligible for prizes, all payments are due by October 11th, 2023. For prizes for families with one page, we will divide the amount of money raised by the number of children in your family.

This year we are raising funds for 7 additional Clevertouch interactive boards for our classrooms. Clevertouch boards are replacing smartboards and better sync with Google Drive, enhance lessons and provide a more interactive experience. We know $20,000 is a BIG goal and every dollar counts!

Our goal is $15,000!

This year money raised will be used for school improvements, such as additions to Zion’s safety and security systems, upgrading the main guest bathrooms, and more! These donations are vital for Zion to continue to keep growing minds, building character, and connecting hearts in Christ.

If each student raises $50 we will reach our goal!
