A huge thank you to everyone that helped in some way as we continue to raise funds for the air conditioning unit in our gym.
It is with great humility and celebration that we announce that Zion Lutheran School was voted #1 elementary school in the Metro East for the fourth-straight year in the BND’s Readers’ Choice Awards 2018. What an honor! Additionally, for the first time ever, we were voted Best Place to Work. It is the hard work, energy, effort and love put into our students and school each day that cause our community to vote us #1. Congrats!!

Hailee Anglin – Preschool 2-year old lead teacher

Hailee Anglin – Preschool 2-year old lead teacher
Hailee loves Jesus and working with children! She is very excited to be able to tell all her little students about the love of Jesus Christ. Her passions include music as she is the worship leader at the church she attends and worshiping Jesus with others is one of her favorite things in the world. She also loves to travel and her favorite place to travel is to Paraguay. She has been going there each summer since 2013 to partake in a medical mission trip in a rural area in the country.
Molly Baechle – Preschool 3-year old lead teacher
Molly comes to Zion with multiple years of experience teaching preschool, most recently in the Head Start Program, where she spent five years. She is very excited to join the Zion staff and work in a Christian school and meet the families of her students. In her free time, she enjoys crafting on her Silhouette machine, shopping and going to dirt races with her boyfriend. She loves Mexican food and has a passion for working with children.
Lynae Mathews – 4th Grade Teacher
Lynae is a graduate of McKendree College and also attended Zion Lutheran School as a student. She is excited to give back to the school she graduated from by teaching 4th grade this year. Prior to Zion, she taught for two years at a Lutheran school in Missouri. Lynae loves golf and has played golf her entire life. She also loves the St. Louis Blues and Cardinals and traveled Europe this summer with her sister.
Heather Pittman – Director of Music Education and Band
Heather is just married and a recent graduate of Concordia – Nebraska where she studied to be a music teacher. She is passionate about bringing the message of Jesus to her classroom and to the world. She lived for many years in Nigeria growing up.
Just a few spots remain in our brand-new, preschool 2-year old classroom at Zion Lutheran Preschool so the time is now to take advantage of this new program!
The program will operate in the same manner and with the same standards as our preschool 3 and 4-year old programs. We picture it being a seamless transition for when your children grow.
The Creative Curriculum will be utilized in the 2-year old class, which is what we use in all of our preschool. It is a great curriculum that really allows teachers to teach the students in a leveled, individual way that meets the needs of each child

To be eligible, your child must be 2 years old by the first day of school (Aug. 15) to start the program this fall, and a child is eligible for the class as soon as he/she turns 2. For example, if your child turns 2 in December 2018, you would be eligible for the program.
We offer a variety of options for the program, including 1-5 days, full and half days. Your child does not have to be potty trained.

At ZLS, this is a week-long celebration in recognition of our wonderful teachers and staff, and their contributions to Christian education and the lives of our students each and every day of the school year.
Zion Lutheran School partners with Bricks 4 Kidz 2-3 times a year, bringing an After School STEM Enrichment Program to our campus for our students. The Bricks 4 Kidz After School Programs are designed to help the students develop problem solving and critical thinking skills, while exploring science, technology, engineering, architecture and physics/mathematics.
