Make buddies, not bullies. Thanks to more than 400 pounds of bottle caps collected by our Girl Scout Troop 88, our students have a brand-new opportunity to be a friend with the addition of two buddy benches on our playgrounds. The benches are made out of the recycled bottle caps and look sharp in our school colors. Thanks, girls!

Well done, 7th graders, leading today’s Thanksgiving Chapel, and re-telling the story “You Are Special” by Max Lucado. It is a beautiful story that reminds us that we are precious to God just the way we are. It is through spending daily time with him that we begin to see ourselves through his eyes. Through flaws and mistakes, God loves us no matter what!

“Let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.” Hebrews 12:1 – Beautiful weather, lots of smiles, determined faces, wonderful volunteers, crazy costumes; just a few of the many things, big and small, at ZLS today at our Lions Roar Fun Run. A huge thank you to everyone that helped in some way as we continue to raise funds for the air conditioning unit in our gym.

Hello Zion Families! Our Lion’s Roar Fun Run is coming up next week on October 30th!
Keep collecting those pledges! Your kids will be participating in the run to help raise money for much needed air conditioning in the gym. Our goal is $25,000 and if every kid raises $100 we will reach this goal!!
Please turn in pledge forms and money to your child’s teacher by November 7th, to ensure that they will receive their incentives. Pledges and money can be collected before and after the run as long as they are turned in by November 7th.

Sometimes a story about a party is all the inspiration you need to create your own party in preschool. Today, our 4-year old preschoolers, after reading “Hooray, A Piñata”, made their own friendship party in the home living center. The little ones decided what was needed and then worked together to make invitations, party hats, decorations and more. It ended with the big celebration!

WOW experiences are all a part of what we do in preschool at ZLS. Here, our preschool 3 year olds got to enjoy mixing, stirring and baking pancakes!
